We were delighted at the fantastic engagement we had from local businesses of all kinds in the recent ‘Face of Malahide’ social media campaign. Nearly 40 businesses participated and we pushed out over 230,000 impressions to Facebook and Instagram over a two week period. This campaign was open to everyone and financed by the Chamber.
The campaign was targeted at men and women over 24 years age in Malahide, Portmarnock and Swords. This was to ensure that our businesses were promoted to the people we hope to attract to the Village to shop in person.
Of the postings made, we estimate that 153,000 people would have been ‘reached’, that is, they saw the post in a meaningful way.
While Shopping centres are currently doing very well, we are aware that retail and other ‘in town’ businesses are having a more difficult time. The Chamber will continue to promote the best interests of all the town. We hope that everyone will experience a proper recovery as soon as possible and if anyone would like to suggest other initiatives, we are always ready to listen.
Over the coming month, we will post a daily photo of one of the participating businesses on our own Facebook page. Don’t forget to share it on your social media accounts to push your town’s positive message.
